Twenty-two Wolves Already Killed in 2019

Our latest newsletter highlights the current situation in Wyoming wherein 22 wolves have already been killed this year in the state. Hunting season started September 1 and within the first few days, hunt area 1 outside of Yellowstone National Park had nearly met its full quota of four wolves. This leaves us wondering if any of the wolves killed there were specifically targeted because they are part of a Yellowstone pack. The total quota for the hunting season will allow 35 wolves to be killed between now and December 31 in all areas except unit 13 which is open until March 31.

Keep track of the wolf hunting season quotas here.
