HB 0275 IS ON THE WAY TO THE GOVERNOR’S DESK – WITHOUT PROVISIONS TO PROHIBIT VEHICULAR KILLING
- URGENT: Ask members of the Joint TRW Committee to discuss this issue in the interim for next session
- House Bill 275 didn’t go far enough to actually prevent cruelty to animals. This bill was mostly co-opted by agricultural interests and doesn’t address the use of vehicles as weapons.
- The Joint Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources Committee (TRW) of the legislature will now determine if they are going to take up this issue in the months between this current legislature and the next. The dates for the interim committee meetings will be April 30 and May 1, and then another two meetings, one in September and another in November.
- The residents of Wyoming want this issue to be addressed and for our laws to match our values and ethics. This isn’t about predator control or hunting, this is about torture. Wyoming must stand against cruelty in all forms.
- Please send a message to the members of the Joint TRW Committee asking them to make this topic a priority in the interim.
- Please take five minutes and send an email today!
