US Fish and Wildlife Service officials are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever illegally shot and killed a protected grizzly bear near the Montana/Wyoming border in May of this year. The grizzly was found dead along Deep Lake Trail in Park County on May 30. This trail is a popular snowmobiling site and is in the Beartooth Mountains. You can remain anonymous.
This is just another indicator that grizzlies are not safe for delisting yet as poaching is a problem along with the myriad other threats they face.
